In Her Shoes is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Vanya at YA Story Teller.
To participate, simply put yourself in the shoes of a heroine you've
recently read about, and then talk about what you would do in her place,
or what you've learned from her.
Featuring this week:
Gwen Moore from Immortal City
Gwen is a secondary character in the YA Urban fantasy/romance Immortal City by Scott Speer. In Immortal City, the characters live in a city where Angels are the equivalent to celebrities. Personality wise, I would say that Gwen is a very vibrant, bubbly, outgoing, and lovely person. She is the resident bff (best friend) of the female lead in Immortal City (Maddy). What I really love about Gwen is that she really balances Maddy out as a friend. Thing is, Maddy, who is the female lead in Immortal City, is a bit more serious for her age and mature because she has had such a lonely and difficult upbringing. And to me Gwen is great in the sense that she always reminds Maddy to be young and to have fun and encourages her to kinda step out of her shell, which Maddy needs tremendously.
Would I change a thing about Gwen? Not really. I love her warmth as a friend and the fact that she is just so full of life and excitement. I think she really balances the cast of characters in Immortal City with her lively energy, especially Maddy. And she definitely is a very fun and endearing character to read about.
Mmhhmm I've never heard of this meme.. very interesting!!! :)

I love it when secondary characters are wonderfully crafted and really add to the story. Gwen sounds like a sweet person, always reminding Maddy to live life. Great post Jennifer. :)
